I purchased my first home back in 1997 with the assistant of a Realty World Today and David Zelinski I then interviewed them along with several other property managers in 1999 when I got transferred out of state and realized it would be more advantageous to rent the house then to incur the cost of selling it. I was very impressed with David and Jo Zelinski’s approach and picked them over the others to serve as my property managers as well. I then moved across the country and left the property in their capable hands. They were happy to involve me as much or as little as I wanted. Typically the only work I would do would be to file my taxes at the end of the year with the data they provided which took perhaps 30 mins. During the ensuing 12 years I rented it David and Jo did a phenomenal job keeping it occupied as it was never vacant for more than a few days in between renters. They also handled a variety of repairs adeptly. I was able to earn a solid return and even turned down unsolicited purchase offers because it was a better investment as a rental which is testament to their management skills and focus on my bottom line. I have since owned about 10 other rental properties and worked with numerous realtors and property managers and have never been more satisfied than with David and Jo. I recently decided to sell the property in 2011 so that I could invest the proceeds in another market. Jo handled the overall sale of the property and advised on the repairs and upgrades that would deliver the best bang for the buck and coordinated all the work. She was able to sell the property promptly in a down market following the renovations and handled the 1031 exchange flawlessly to include recommending a qualified intermediary who I used. My only regret is that David and Jo can’t manage my properties outside of greater Jacksonville NC.

We moved from Jacksonville Apr of 2004 fully expecting to come back to Camp Lejuene sometime in my career.  We wanted to find someone who we could trust with taking care of our home for us to return to.  Our first try was with “a friend” who was also a property manager.  This turned out to be a nightmare from day one.  Within 4 months we were looking for another property manager.  We then rented to friends.  This was not always a good situation because friendship and business really don’t mix.  My husband received a promotion that we did not see coming and plans changed.  At that same time our house in NC was coming available the same time I was looking for an agent in VA to help sell my home there.  I met with a couple of realtors, but one company stood out above the rest : Realty World.  I found the gentleman extremely professional, helpful and full of good ideas.  It was finally a comfortable feeling.  Well, if I liked this company in Virginia, I figured maybe they had a Realty World in Jacksonville, NC.  I contacted David Zelinski and again just what I was looking for.  Very professional and I liked the way the business was run.  It is a wonderful feeling when you are away from your property and you can have someone to watch it that can be trusted.  Realty world does  a walk thru on my house every three months, I received my statements and deposits in a timely manner and questions are almost always answered immediately whenever there is a question or problem.  I cannot say enough about this business that is properly run and extremely professional.

David Zelinski has even given us referrals for family and military families looking to move/sell which have all worked out well.
